| Module 1 – Business English
The aim of this module is to provide students with the specific language of Finance and Economics. The course is divided in two sub-modules. The first analyses the English language structure and functions; the second, more specific, is designed to teach writing, reading, speaking and listening in a business context. At the end of the module students will have an exam to abtain the IELTS certification.(www.ielts.org)
This module explores the main investment evaluation methods used in the international financial markets. This module analyzes the role of institutional investors in the world-wide market context. Current trends in the financial markets and possible future scenarios are analyzed by means of technical and fundamental analysis. Special emphasis is given to the interrelations between bank and insurance system in the regulated markets and to the legal aspects of the studied financial products as well as to the surveillance of limited markets. Techniques of business evaluation with case studies: Cash flow analysis and financial statements, treasury management, risk coverage. Investment operations and their effects on the Bank risk management. Evaluation criteria for organisations as foreseen by Basel II. This module explores the extraordinary finance operations and corporate evaluation criteria in extraordinary cases (i.e. start-up, turnover, going public). Project financing techniques as well as venture capital and private equity accounting, legal and revenue aspects are part of this module. This module covers the drafting of a business plan with particular reference to the Italia and European legislation on structured and unstructured funds. It also analyzes the different state aid policies for companies with specific reference to the law 488/92. This module studies risk management issues, regarding both investment and market risk analysis. It investigate company risk factors and quantitative risk management approach. During the module there will be several evidences by experts of risk management currently operating in national banks and consulting companies. This module, in line with the principles of IPE, highlights the importance of the human being. Ethics is kinds of behaviour, habits, values as a whole that mark the professional work of every man and woman. Behaviour, habits and values which must have a positive outcome in terms of: respecting the human being, acquiring professionalism in their own activity, considering their job as a service for the benefit of the human community. An ethical economic system must not be considered as an alternate reality to the existing one but a way to answer to recent market needs. The module is structured on these main themes: definition of Ethics, relationship between Ethics, Philosophy and Economics, the value of the human being, Management Ethics, with case studies. The course aids the student to attend a professional interview: CV presentation, interview techniques. The topic of team-working will be widely covered by studying leadership and communication techniques. HR managers will take part in this course. |
